Invisalign® Invisible Orthodontics consists of a series of virtually invisible and removable aligners (masks) that every two weeks must be substituted by a new set.
Each aligner is specifically tailored to your teeth. When each aligner is positioned, your teeth will move little by little, week by week, until they fix in the correct final position.
Moreover, a 3D virtual treatment plan (ClinCheck® software) shows the movements your teeth will go through during the course of the treatment. This permits you to know in advance what the final result of your teeth will be like at the end of the treatment. Through the ClinCheck® software system the dentist can design and create transparent tailor-made aligners.
If you would like to improve your smile and of course your facial aspect, the “Invisalign®” software system could be the correct treatment for you. “Invisalign®” can transform your smile without compromising your daily life.
Invisalign® treatment: the benefits
Once you have decided that “Invisalign®” could be the right treatment for you, what’s the next step? We suggested you undergo a thorough visit at our clinic, where a certified “Invisalign®” orthodontist or dentist will study your case.
After evaluating if “Invisalign®” is suitable to your needs, your dentist will prepare a detailed treatment plan with which he will be able to create tailor-made almost invisible aligners. Follow some simple steps leading to a brand new smile.
Invisalign®: how does it work?
Step one – During the first visit your orthodontic problems are assessed and you will discuss the results together with your dentist what you wish to achieve. If “Invisalign®” is suitable to you, your dentist will plan a specific treatment. The impressions of your teeth will be taken and sent to the “Invisalign®” laboratories for processing.
Step Two – Dental impressions will be digitized so that the dentist can have a computerized 3D image of your teeth (ClinCheck® software). The dentist will determine and control the precise movement that your teeth will follow during the treatment. You will be able to see a virtual representation of your teeth before, during and after the “Invisalign®” treatment and therefore you will know what your smile should be like after the cure.
Step Three – After you and your dentist have agreed about the treatment plan, the aligners must be worn for about two weeks before moving on to the next set. Even if the number of aligners varies from individual to individual, generally a complete treatment consists of 18-36 aligners for the upper and lower teeth and it lasts between 9 to 18 months, depending on the single case.
Step Four – In order to complete the treatment within the deadline agreed with your dentist, aligners should be worn day and night (except during meals) as just after having eaten you will need to brush or floss your teeth. Every 4 /6 weeks you should carry out a check-up to monitor the progress and to receive the next set of aligners. During the entire treatment, you will notice small movements and your teeth will gradually move giving you a more regular and healthy smile.
